Barristers Rules

The paramount duty of barristers is to the administration of justice, but they must also represent their clients honestly and to the highest standards, unaffected by personal interests. These duties are contained in the Barristers Rules, which are based on the Australian Bar Association’s ‘Model Rules’.

The Australian Bar Association is responsible for developing Legal Profession Conduct Rules and Continuing Professional Development Rules for barristers.
