Use of Social Media by Barristers

The New Barristers Committee and Education Committee are welcoming a panel consisting of Jane Needham SC, Arthur Moses SC (Chair) and Matthew Lewis to discuss the do’s and don’ts for barristers using social media on Thursday, 13 April 2023 from 5.00pm. Issues to be discussed include:
- the benefits of barristers adopting social media;
- how to effectively use social media;
- marketing within the rules;
- precautions to take when using social media.
The expert panellist will share their own experiences with effectively using social media while answering questions, including the legal implications that can arise. This is a must see CPD for all members of the Bar who wish to understand the benefits and risks of social media and how barristers can effectively utilise these online platforms for their practice.
