Are Legal Directories Worth It? A Discussion on the Value for Barristers
Join the Practice Development Committee on Thursday, 2 February 2023 at 5.00pm for discussion on the value of legal directories.
In 2017 the NSW Barristers’ Clerks Association commissioned market research to understand the experience Corporate Counsel have with barristers and contributing factors to direct briefing choices or recommendations. One of the findings was the influence of some directory listings on this search and selection process. It seems listings in directories are here to stay for the time being and, for some areas of practice, are becoming even more influential.
The annual Directory submission cycle commences in March 2023. If you are scratching your head – or starting from scratch – about the value of a directory listing then join us for a one-hour discussion with legal marketing experts Sue-Ella Prodonovich, Prodonovich Advisory and Sarah Waley, Ideas in Practice.
To prepare for this discussion we have surveyed a sample of lawyers from Private Practice, In-House and Government organisations seeking their views on the value of Directories.
Areas of discussion:
The Legal Directories to watch (or watch out for);
Starting from Scratch and Profile ‘boosters’;
5 ideas for preparing submissions to Chambers & Partners and Legal 500;
5 ideas for getting the most out of a listing; and Questions.
Registration required.
