Class Actions Update

The Commercial Law Section is pleased to host a “Class Actions Update” on Tuesday, 22 March at 5.15 pm. Join the Hon Justice Brigitte Markovic, James Arnott SC, Imtiaz Ahmed and Amelia Smith to explore issues arising in the conduct and settlement of class actions including:
- de-classing applications under s 33N of the Federal Court of Australia Act 1976 (Cth);
- when is it appropriate for aggregate damages to be determined at an initial trial; and
- issues arising in recent settlement approval hearings.
