Cybersecurity: What you need to know!
The NSW Bar Association's Media and Information Law and Technology Committee is pleased to invite you to attend the first seminar in its 2024 Cybersecurity Seminar Series. The seminar on ‘Cybersecurity: What you need to know!’ will be held online via Zoom at 5pm on Tuesday, 22 October 2024.
Expert financial and cybercrime investigator Dr Graeme Edwards will present the seminar, which will cover the following topics:
(a) The cyber criminal and cyber attacks, the latest trends
(b) Who are the main targets, why and how they are targeted
(c) What obligations do you have in relation to data you hold
(d) How to minimize cyber risks and prevent cyber attacks
(e) How to respond to a cyber attack
Dr Edwards has over 20 years’ experience within the Queensland Police Service and Cyber Crime Group investigating cybercrime and corporate fraud. He is a teaching fellow at Bond University’s Business School and author of the Cybercrime Investigators Handbook.
Ben Kremer SC, Co-Chair of the MILT Committee, will moderate the seminar.
