Data and Development: the Intersection of Cybersecurity and the Law

The New South Wales Bar Association's Innovation and Technology Committee is pleased to present a webinar entitled "Data and Development: the Intersection of Cybersecurity and the Law" at 5.15pm on Tuesday 4 August 2020.

Alastair MacGibbon, Chief Strategy Officer at CyberCX, will give a short overview of the threat environment, followed by a discussion about the intersections of law, public policy and contemporary cybersecurity developments, what amounts to 'reasonable' cybersecurity conduct by Australian corporations and professionals, and what steps barristers can take to protect their clients' data. The webinar will conclude with a moderated Q&A. Tamir Maltz, 12 Wentworth Selborne Chambers, will chair the event.
