Fee recovery: What is good practice? For members under 5
TUESDAY, 16 MARCH 2021
This is a question often posed by members in their first five years of practice at the Bar. It is also a question that plays on the mind of many experienced barristers.
The first part of the seminar will consider practical steps for timely fee recovery and will be led by David Stewart. It will also highlight the costs precedents on the Bar Association's website.
In the second part of this seminar, Michael Wells will guide a discussion for members about recovering fees, in particular, the experience of Under 5 members. The session will look at:
- Any challenges facing members not being paid in a timely fashion.
- Your experience regarding compliance with costs agreement terms.
- What works.
The webinar will be interactive. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and share their experiences in relation to overdue invoices and fee recovery either in advance via email to cpd@nswbar.asn.au or during the webinar via the online Chat and Q&A function. Questions and other contributions made in advance will be anonymised. The online Chat and Q&A function will only be visible to the presenters.
Presented by:
