Hammerschlag CJ in Eq in conversation with Ian Davidson SC

The Succession and Protective Law Committee is delighted that the Hon. Justice David Hammerschlag, Chief Judge in Equity, will contribute to our 2025 Judge’s Series.  His Honour’s commentary and stories will be of compelling interest to Succession and Protective Law barristers and any counsel practicing in equity or commercial law, given his extensive experience in these areas, as a leading barrister, experienced equity judge, including running the Commercial List, before becoming Chief Judge in Equity and a member of the Court of Appeal on 17 March 2022.

Topics discussed in conversation with Ian Davidson SC may include costs issues in probate and family provision disputes, judicial advice applications, the roles of judges assigned to the Probate and Family Provision lists and Probate Registrar, Practice Note SC Eq 7 and private or court annexed mediations.

His Honour has kindly indicated he will take questions from the floor.
