How to prepare and run a costs assessment application: the do’s and don’ts of the costs assessment process with a view to maximizing recovery of your fees as quickly as possible
The NSW Bar Association's Costs and Fees Committee invites you to a seminar on "How to Run a Costs Assessment Application – Do’s and Don’ts for Maximizing Fee Recovery." The seminar will be held online via Zoom at 5:00 pm on Monday, 17 March 2025.
This session will offer tips and guidance for barristers on preparing, filing, and maximising fee recovery in Costs Assessment applications within the NSW Costs Assessment system. The session is intended to provide practical advice and will not cover the Uniform Law in depth.
The seminar will be presented by Beth Oliak and Kirralee Young, two experienced NSW Supreme Court Costs Assessors and members of the Costs and Fees Committee. Together they have assessed over 600 costs assessment applications and will share their insights on how to navigate the process.
