Legal and scientific aspects of causation and climate change

The Climate Change Committee of the New South Wales Bar Association is pleased to announce the second presentation in its Climate Law CPD series – a lecture by the Hon. James Allsop AC with the Hon. Robert French AC, Chaired by the Hon. Andrew Bell, Chief Justice of New South Wales.

The Hon. James Allsop AC is the former Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia and a former President of the New South Wales Court of Appeal.  He will present a new paper on the legal and scientific aspects of causation as they arise in the context of climate change and climate change litigation. The Hon. Robert French AC, the former Chief Justice of the High Court, will act as interlocutor for the session.

The Chief Justice has graciously agreed to host the presentation in the Banco Court. Attendees are invited to remain for an informal networking event after the presentation.
