LGBTQI Allyship

LGBTQI Allyship

This seminar considers LGBTQI allyship: a person or entity who supports, stands up for and encourages LGBTQI people around them. It is the second CPD to mark the adoption of the Bar Association’s LGBTQI Principles on Inclusiveness. Topics include how an ally is defined, why allyship is significant within the workplace, the importance of visibility and what practical steps can be taken to demonstrate support for LGBTQI individuals. The speakers are Chris Nelson, Associate Director, Pride in Diversity, ACON; Dean Clifford-Jones, Chairperson & National Director, Pride in Law; chaired by S Tully, 6 St James Hall.
