Litigating With AI: Views From the Bench with Chief Justice Bell and Justice Shariff
The use of AI in court has become a topical issue. Practitioners around Australia have been referred to regulatory bodies and disciplined for failing to verify AI-generated material put to a court. What concerns do courts have about the use of AI, and what do they expect from barristers? What are the dangers for barristers when AI is used in their cases? What are permissible uses of AI in court proceedings?
This seminar is an important and special opportunity to hear from the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Justice Shariff, Chair of the Federal Court’s AI Project Group, about their courts’ approach to the use of AI.
This CPD is presented by the Media and Information Law and Technology Committee and will be moderated by Ben Kremer SC, Co-Chair of the Committee.
Please note: Only NSW barristers or members of the NSW Bar Association can register for CPDs or webinars.
