Recent Developments in the law of Vicarious Liability
The NSW Bar Association's Common Law Committee is pleased to invite you to attend an online seminar on ‘Recent Developments in the law of Vicarious Liability’. The seminar will be held online via Zoom at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, 30 July 2025.
This seminar will discuss recent developments in the law of vicarious liability, including the High Court’s decision in Bird v DP, and the wider implications of those developments for common law claims, especially in respect to industrial accidents and child abuse claims. The seminar will also touch upon the interplay between the concept of vicarious liability and non-delegable duties.
This seminar will be presented by Common Law Committee members Rohan de Meyrick and Dean-Lloyd Del Monte.
