Royal Commissions and Inquests: structure and impact
Wednesday, 15 June 2022
The genesis and structure of Royal Commissions and Inquests can have real bearing on their impact - including on parties participating, witnesses, and the broader community. Consideration of structure and impact give rise to a number of questions that will be addressed, in this seminar including: Is the government outsourcing public policy? How does technology (including live streaming) bear upon the impact of a Royal Commission or Inquest? What is the personal impact, societal impact, and public policy impact of a Royal Commission or Inquest? These questions and more will be addressed by Jennifer Coates AO and Gail Furness SC, who collectively bring a significant depth of experience and insight into Royal Commissions and Coronial Inquests.
