Successful fee negotiation with someone who just wants to pay you less

Thursday, 18 March 2021

Relationships with solicitors and end-clients can be created, maintained, and flourish for mutual benefit.

In practice, it can be challenging

  • to quantify, and then persuasively demonstrate, the value of your estimated fees
  • to comply with regulatory and ethical standards while influencing the client’s perception of your value, and
  • to satisfy end-clients’ expectations about counsels’ fees when these expectations differ from that of solicitors.

The Costs and Fees Committee introduces Colin Jasper, of Positive Pricing, who has consulted for over 20 years to most of the leading law firms in the United Kingdom, Asia, and the United States of America, and improved their pricing performance. He will teach barristers how to feel comfortable discussing their fees while employing practical approaches used in the legal profession around the world, as well as consider the new barristers’ NAB Escrow service.

This webinar is a necessary pre-requisite for attending Colin Jasper’s 4-hour pricing-skills workshop.
