Sybil Morrison Lecture
The Diversity and Equality Committee is pleased to host the fifth annual Sybil Morrison Lecture. The lecture has been held annually since 2019 to celebrate the life of Sybil Morrison, the first woman to practise at the New South Wales Bar.
The lecture will be held in the Bar Association’s Common Room and will commence at 5:00pm, with arrivals from 4:45pm. Numbers are strictly limited and online registration is essential.
This year’s lecture will honour the Honourable Acting Justice Carolyn Simpson AO KC for her exceptional judicial career, spanning a quarter of a century, and her trailblazing contributions to the legal profession and law reform. The lecture will be chaired by the Governor of NSW, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, and presented by the 2022 Katrina Dawson Award recipients, Imogen Hogan and Monica Aguinaldo.
Attendees will be invited to remain in the Common Room for light refreshments after the lecture.
