The LGBTQI Principles on Inclusiveness
The Bar Council recently approved the adoption of the New South Wales Bar Association Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning and Intersex (LGBTQI) Principles on Inclusiveness. A seminar on Monday, 8 August 2022 at 5.15pm will introduce the Principles and review their historical development, rationale, purpose, content and prospective implementation measures. It will also examine several key issues of contemporary relevance to the LGBTQI community and identify useful resources for barristers, floors and chambers. Speakers are Christopher Nelson of Pride in Diversity, ACON; Sharyn Hall SC, the NSW Bar Advocate for Change for LGBTQI diversity; and S Tully, 6 St James’ Hall.
