Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales in collaboration with the Royal Society, is hosting the inaugural Ideas@theHouse webinar this Thursday, 21 May 2020 at 7pm.
In webinar “Ten: the Mapping of Colonial New South Wales” - Emeritus Professor Robert Clancy AM will be highlighting a very small part of this cartographic story, covering a century where a “gaol of 100 souls would become an independent nation with the highest standard of living in the world”, told in the context of the colonial governors of the day – ten from the date of colonisation in 1788 through to responsible government in NSW in 1855, and ten from 1855 to Federation in 1901.
