Cyber security warning

Members are advised to delete immediately any email they receive which purports to contain an invoice from Member Advantage.

Member Advantage is the provider of the Bar Association's member benefits scheme. On 20 May 2020 they suffered a breach of security, when malware captured a number of their staff and client email addresses. No other personal information was obtained. The malware did not penetrate the Bar Association's security.

As a precaution, the Bar Association is relaying this notification. While members can access the Member Advantage site via the Bar Association's website, the Association does not share your personal information.

Member Advantage assures the Bar Association that they have since installed additional safeguards to their email filter system to prevent any such incidents in the future. Member Advantage are constantly working to protect member information and privacy.
