Domain Soccer League - Bar FC defeated convincingly by Pendal FC

It was always going to be a tough season with COVID-19 causing many teams to drop out of the competition and as a result, Bar FC was promoted from Division 3 to Division 1. Wednesday saw the team perform valiantly against a slick Pendal FC who were victors to the tune of 7-0.

Whilst such a defeat is hard for all to take, there were some moments to cherish. O’Shea shooting was a sight to behold, Compton playing a little flick over the defence to Condylis who was ready to pounce and keeper Harris copping a yellow card to save a certain goal. Lo Surdo SC and Justice Lindsay were overheard discussing Harris’ indiscretion and both were of the view he was given a lenient sentence. Lucky for Harris there is no appeal.

There were a number of very good performances today however the Sir Alex award for excellence must go to Andy Murray who was dogged in defence and snuffed out many a marauding attack. Bar FC would also like to welcome and thank debutantes Andrew Wilson, Danielle Woods and Simon Grey.
