06/08/2020

Bar standards

As the holder of a practising certificate in New South Wales, barristers have disclosure obligations under the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) (LPUL), Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014 (NSW), and associated regulations. The Bar Association's website features a revised and updated page dealing generally with the various heads of disclosure obligations and the consequences of non-disclosure with respect to fees in advance, show cause events (automatic and designated), section 51 of the LPUL, and renewal.
