Bar FC hold Core Talent to a draw

Today saw Bar FC pick up a point and play some excellent football to draw 2-2 against Core Talent FC. Under the watchful eyes of Lindsay J, Bar FC took the early lead as a result of a masterful cross/shot by midfield maestro, Jeh Coutinho. Some lovely link up play between Canceri and Oscar Clarke saw the goalie fumble a well hit shot, with poacher (and golden boot leader) Hugh Morrison there to feed off the crumbs and place the ball in the back of the net.

At half time the score was 2-1 with the defensive line of Danielle Woods, Philips, Munro, John Harris and Nicholas J Olson working hard all game to repel the attacks. In the last minutes, the opposition managed to hit a lucky lob that resulted in the tie.

The gaffer's award for player of the match must go to Coutinho who worked tirelessly and set up many an attacking move. The Patchaldinho award goes to the opposition who managed to receive a straight red card for fighting, a yellow card for unsporting behaviour and spent more time berating the referees than playing the beautiful game.
