Bar Council Election and New South Wales Bar Association 2020 Annual General Meeting

Next week eligible members will be sent nomination forms for the 2020 Bar Council election and a Notice of the 2020 New South Wales Bar Association Annual General Meeting to be held at 5pm on Thursday 5 November, along with a proxy form for the Annual General Meeting.

Members are advised that the nomination process is being conducted remotely this year.

Nomination forms must be scanned or photographed and submitted to the Returning Officer via email to certification@nswbar.asn.au. Nominations must be received by the Returning Officer via email by 4.00pm on Friday 25 September 2020.

The receipt of all completed nomination forms will be acknowledged by email. Should anyone not have received an acknowledgment within 24 hours of lodging their nomination, they should contact the Returning Officer.

It is intended that the election will be held by paper ballot in the usual way.
