Bar FC valiant in 5-1 defeat

Yesterday Bar FC resumed its efforts in the Domain Soccer League against Pendal FC. Notwithstanding the sea of red yesterday on the stock exchange, the investment bankers were undistracted by the decline in their individual portfolios and set about dismantling Bar FC with a display of crisp passing, speed and accurate finishing.

Some great performances nevertheless from Bar FC. Griscti in goals was a worthy joint winner of the Sir Alex award for player off the match. Unaccustomed to wearing the gloves, he displayed some fine judgement and brave keeping. Without him the score would have been greater. The other winner was d’Arville who was tireless marking Pendal FC’s equivalent to Harry Kane…quick and lethal in front of goal.

Given the effort put in by all, no winner this week of the Patchildinho award.
