Bar FC 2-0 unlucky again

Yesterday saw Bar FC take on QBE in the Domain Soccer League. With youth on their side of their opponents, Bar FC knew it was going to be a tough game.

For most of the first half, Bar FC held their own with some dogged defence by Larish, Munro, Griscti and Danielle Wood. With man of the match Harris organising the defensive line, we held out until just before half time and went into the break 1-0 down. Unlucky really as the goal came from a rather dubious offside call made against Bar FC when we were on the attack. We also missed a couple of chances that would have made it a different game.

The second half saw Harris make some saves that made even the English manager of the insurer exclaim “What a bl##dy keeper!”. Sir Alex better watch out as there may well be moves afoot to poach a founding member of Bar FC still at his prime.

With tired legs in 30 degree heat, the end of the game saw the insurers sneak in one more to win the game 2-0.
