New South Wales Council for Civil Liberties - Online Panel Discussion regarding First Nations Justice

The New South Wales Council for Civil Liberties (NSWCCL) held an online panel discussion on systemic racism and the over-incarceration of Indigenous people last Friday 11 September.

The panel discussion, which featured Judge Myers AM, Sarah Hopkins, Teela Reid and NSWCCL President Nicholas Cowdery AO QC and was moderated by Richard Ackland. focussed on the urgent need to implement the recommendations of the Australian Law Reform Commission’s "Pathways to Justice" report and to create specialist courts, such as the Walama Court.
