Greenbridge v Bar FC Ends in a 2-2 Draw

A full strength Bar FC took on a depleted Greenbridge side yesterday in the Domain Soccer League.

With Bar FC having a full squad of 15, Sir Alex lent Greenbridge 4 Bar FC players to ensure a game of 11 v 11 took place. Strik, Compton, Tsang and Stanton (Sir Alex) were happy to help out the opposition.

An early goal to Di Michiel saw Bar FC take the lead. Greenbridge started to settle and gave Harris in goals some practice before Sir Alex put away a parried shot after Harris exclaimed “Go on Stanton, have a crack”. The score at the break was 1-1.

The second half saw Bar FC attack with strength with some nice lead up play resulting in a second goal to Di Michiel. Two goals in one game sees the race for the golden boot award back on with Di Michiel and Morrison in contention. With a win in sight, Greenbridge managed to break the otherwise strong defensive line and put away a goal to ensure the match finished 2-2.

A great run in the sun with the Sir Alex award for player of the match being awarded to John Tsang.

Thursday sees Bar FC play its last game for the season. All supporters welcome at 1.15 pm on top of the Domain Car Park.
