Bar FC victorious when it counts

Today saw Bar FC defeat QBE FC 2-0 in the elimination semi-final in the Domain Soccer League.

In a strange turn of events, the final series saw last place (Bar FC ) play sixth place (QBE) in a game that was filled with great shots, passing and saves. Morrison (Golden Boot leader) hit a beautiful low shot to the far post to take the lead ten minutes in. The defensive line of Fredericks, Griscti, Larish, Munro and Daniele Woods then dug deep to repel the attacks of the opposition. Goal keeper Harris pulled off two season best saves to ensure a clean sheet was the outcome.

The first half belonged to Danielle Woods who was solid at the back, often taking a body blow to ensure Harris’ instruction of “no shots” was followed. The second half however belonged to Hallahan who took up position on the right wing and steadied the ship and assist in the second goal to Condylis.

A great shift from all participants means we now meet Greenbridge FC in a preliminary final on Wednesday 21 October 2020 at 12.00 p.m. All supporters and lovers of the beautiful game are welcome.
