Practice Management Essentials

21/10/2020

Seminar Series

To run a successful barristers practice, you must adapt to changing situations. With the COVID-19 pandemic changing the way the world works, and lawyers practice, now is the time to ask: How do you establish & maintain a successful practice? Maintain financial viability? Build lasting client relationships? Stand out from your peers? or become a leader at the Bar?

The series of practice management short courses, run in conjunction with UNSW, will provide practical advice and strategies to cover the entire lifecycle of practice at the Bar. The interactive workshops will address common questions, as well as the risk and responsibilities. Modules will cover practice management, accounting finance, balancing professional responsibilities, managing growth, and what it means to be a successful leader.

This joint initiative between the Bar Association and the University of NSW offers barristers the opportunity to pick and choose modules relevant to them, their career and their practice. There are maximum 22 CPD points available, with participation in any of four available modules qualifying for CPD points. Courses will be run in November 2020, February 2021 and April 2021.
