Recently, some members might have received email purportedly from the LinkedIn account of a person or persons at the New South Wales Bar Association. The Bar Association has reported them to LinkedIn as suspected “fake” profiles, and requested that they be deleted. Although these requests are a nuisance, not a breach of security, the Bar Association advises you to report any suspicious LinkedIn invitations. To do so, click as follows:

1. "view profile" link in the LinkedIn email invitation, then;
2. "more" on a browser or the three vertical dots on a mobile device
3. "report/block"
4. "report this profile"
5. "I think this person does not represent a real individual"
