The Commercial Law Section presents a specialist panel discussing recent trends in the funding, conduct and settlement of class actions following the High Court’s decision in BMW Australia Ltd v Brewster [2019] HCA 45. Topics include the fate of common fund orders post-Brewster, competing class actions and security for costs against litigation funders. Speakers include the Honourable Justice Michael Lee, Federal Court of Australia; Guy Donnellan, Level 22 Chambers and Amy Munro, Eleven Wentworth.
