The WBF will start 2021 with a belated in-person celebration for the women appointed as Silk in 2020. We will be announcing the date soon and are aiming for late March 2021. 2020 saw some of our events move to online platforms, which enabled us to continue to connect with our members when we couldn’t meet in person. In 2021, we will continue our programme of CPDs, networking and mentoring initiatives both in person and online to fulfil our purpose of promoting and supporting women at the New South Wales Bar.
The WBF is a section of the Association and if you are a woman member of the Association, you are automatically a member of the WBF. If you would like to know more about the WBF or get involved, please contact any of the elected representatives on the WBF or Elizabeth Pearson of the Association. Otherwise, please join us at our upcoming events to support women barristers.
Our events are open to all members of the Bar and we encourage women and all supporters of women barristers to attend our events.
