Legal Aid NSW: New eligibility policy for Criminal Contempt matters

The Legal Aid NSW Board has approved a new eligibility policy to cover some criminal contempt of court matters. The policy covers defended proceedings, sentence proceedings and discharge proceedings. Any appeal proceedings arising from contempt will be dealt with under existing criminal law appeals policies. The policy applies to applications determined on or after 22 March 2021.
