2021 Bathurst Lecture

Save the Date - Thursday 22 April 2021

The Commercial Law Section will hold the 2021 Bathurst lecture, named in honour of the Hon T F Bathurst AC, Chief Justice of NSW, on Thursday 22 April 2021, at 5:15 pm.

The speaker will be the Hon Justice Mark Leeming, a judge of the New South Wales Court of Appeal since 2013. Justice Leeming is the author of several books, including Resolving Conflicts of Laws, Authority to Decide: The Law of Jurisdiction in Australia (in its second edition) and The Statutory Foundations of Negligence; an editor of leading practitioner texts Jacobs’ Law of Trusts and Equity: Doctrines and Remedies; and has written countless articles on aspects of commercial and public law and legal history.

Justice Leeming’s topic is “The Enduring Qualities of Commercial Law”.
