National Pro Bono Day 2021

27/04/2021

National Pro Bono Day takes place in May each year, on Tuesday of National Law Week. It provides an opportunity to celebrate the pro bono work undertaken by the Australian legal profession. On this day Walks for Justice are held simultaneously across the country to support and raise funds for local pro bono referral organisations and other access to justice organisations.

A NSW Walk for Justice is being held this year as part of National Law Week celebrations. Thomson Reuters will be co-ordinating the event for NSW on National Pro Bono Day, 18 May 2021, to raise funds for the National Justice Project.

The National Justice Project conducts strategic legal action, advocacy and education for the development of a fair, just and equitable justice system and works with clients, communities and community-led allied partners to deliver positive systemic change and much needed legal support.

Due to COVID-19, this year’s NSW event will be a “virtual walk”. To participate please see act.justice.org.au/walkforjustice
