Applications Sought - Senior Member and General Members, Personal Injury Commission

The Personal Injury Commission is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for appointment to the positions of Senior Member (fulltime) and General Members (full-time and sessional) in the Workers Compensation Division.

Full-time General Members and Senior Members are based in Sydney. Sessional General Members may be based in Sydney or regional locations. Some travel may be required.

Full-time Senior Members and General Members receive an attractive salary. Sessional General Members are remunerated under a fee schedule.

Appointments may be made for terms up to five years, with eligibility for reappointment. Appointees as a Senior Member or General Member will be qualified legal practitioners of at least 5 years’ standing or, if in the opinion of the Minister, they possess special knowledge, skill or expertise. Ideally applicants for the appointments will have sound knowledge of workers compensation law and practice, coupled with demonstrated alternative dispute resolution and facilitation skills and experience.
