Bar Association Annual General Meeting and Election Timetable

The New South Wales Bar Association’s AGM will be held in the Common Room of the New South Wales Bar Association, Basement, Selborne Chambers, 174-180 Phillip Street, Sydney, on Thursday, 13 November 2025 at 5.00pm.

Nominations for the 2026 Bar Council open on 8 September 2025. Nomination forms must be scanned or photographed and submitted to the Returning Officer via email to elections@nswbar.asn.au by 4.00pm on Monday, 20 October 2025.

Once the ballot for the 2026 Bar Council Election opens members will be able, at their choosing, to vote either via the Association’s online election platform or by using a paper ballot. The election ballot opens 27 October 2025 and closes at 1:00pm on Thursday, 13 November 2025. An announcement of the results is expected on Friday, 14 November 2025, via InBrief and on display in the Bar Association Library.
