WBF Janet Coombs Lunch to Welcome New Women Readers – Friday, 19 September

The Women Barristers Forum, in conjunction with the Women Lawyers Association of New South Wales, is delighted to invite you to the next bi-annual Janet Coombs Lunch to Welcome New Women Readers to the NSW Bar, to be held at 1pm on Friday, 19 September 2025 at Verandah Social Dining.

All are welcome to attend. Women lawyers – members of the Judiciary, the Bar, solicitors, academics and students – are particularly invited to attend. The WBF encourages women barristers, particularly senior women at the Bar, to come meet and welcome the newest cohort of women barristers. This lunch is always a wonderful opportunity to connect and celebrate the incoming women to the Bar.

Tickets are $75 per person (including a welcome drink). This price includes a contribution towards the cost of lunch for the new women readers, with WBF/WLANSW covering the remaining cost. This reflects the tradition begun by Janet Coombs AM who personally took new women readers to lunch and, as numbers grew, passing that tradition on to WLANSW.
