Reissued Practice Notes – Practice Note SC Eq 10 – Revenue List and Practice Note SC Eq 15 – Applications List

The Supreme Court has reissued the following two Practice Notes, which commenced on 25 September 2025:

Practice Note SC Eq 10 – Revenue List

This revised Practice Note includes the following changes:

• General updates to terminology and formatting.

• Provides information regarding the operation of the list.

• Removes paragraphs relating to the initial directions hearing, online court and interrogatories.

• Encourages the use of a single or court appointed expert and the taking of expert evidence concurrently.

• Requires parties to participate in or consider participating in mediation.

• Updates the usual order for hearing in Annexure B.

Practice Note SC Eq 15 – Applications List

The aim of this Practice Note is to facilitate the prompt and efficient resolution of motions assigned by a Judge or the Registrar in Equity to the Applications List. Accordingly, the Practice Note outlines the procedures and expectations relating to the operation of the list.
