Today: Dashing through the Constitution: a review of some of 2024’s most interesting constitutional cases, before the festive season descends

The Australian Association of Constitutional Law (AACL) is delighted to welcome David Hume, Louise Coleman and Kate Bones to speak on three constitutional cases that are or recently were before the High Court: Vasta v Stradford (reserved); Commonwealth v Yunupingu (reserved); and YBFZ v Minister for Immigration [2024] HCA 40. The AACL invites members to join for a discussion on these cases, which variously raise important issues concerning Chapter III, acquisition of property and the Territories power. The AACL is also honoured that the Hon Justice Geoffrey Kennett will chair the event.
