The Bar Association congratulates the following members who received Australia Day Honours:
The Hon Justice John Basten was made an Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished service to the law as a judge, to legal education, to board and commission roles, and as a champion of Indigenous and human rights.
The Hon Justice Brian John Preston was made an Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished service to the judiciary and the law, to legal academia, and to environmental and natural resources governance and education.
The Hon Ann Margaret Ainslie-Wallace was made a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the judiciary and the law, to legal advocacy education, and to professional associations.
The Hon Alan Robertson SC was made a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the law, to the judiciary, and to the legal profession.
The Hon John Robertson Sackar KC was made a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the judiciary, and to the law.
