Cyber Insurance at the Bar
26/03/2025

Wednesday, 02 April (Online via zoom LUNCH TIME CPD 1-2pm)
This CPD session introduces a new cyber insurance policy designed specifically for NSW barristers to address the evolving cyber risks faced by the bar. It will provide an overview of cyber insurance fundamentals, the key benefits of the proposed policy, and the importance of ensuring adequate protection for your practice.
The session will outline the role of the broker, including assisting barristers to understand their coverage, tailor the policy to meet their individual practice needs, and provide expert guidance in the event of a claim. ATC, the proposed insurer for this coverage, will provide an overview of the coverage, highlighting key inclusions, exclusions, and claims processes.
In addition, Atmos, the appointed incident response team, will explain their critical role in assisting barristers to navigate cyber incidents, including breach response, regulatory obligations, and reputational management.
The session will also cover ethical obligations and the Association's Cybersecurity Guidance for NSW Barristers.
Following this CPD, barristers should have a clear understanding of the protections and benefits realised through a Cyber Insurance policy.
