Appointments

Their Honours Judges Deborah Sweeney and Richard Weinstein SC have been appointed to the Supreme Court of New South Wales to sit in the Common Law Division and Justice Robert Macfarlan will be retiring from the Court of Appeal.

Formal ceremonies to mark these occasions will be held in Banco Court on level 13, as follows:

• Judge Weinstein SC - Wednesday 1 February 2023 at 9.15am;
• Judge Sweeney - Wednesday 8 February 2023 at 9.15am; and
• Justice Macfarlan - Wednesday 22 February 2023 at 9.15am.

The ceremonies will be notified in the Law List on the prior Monday and Tuesday and also on the day of the ceremony.

No registration will be required for members of the Bar.

The ceremonies will also be livestreamed with the link being posted on the Supreme Court website prior to each ceremony.
