The Hon. Justice Perry appointed Deputy Judge Advocate General - Air Force

The Chief of the Defence Force General A J Campbell AO DSC has recently announced that the Honourable Justice Melissa Perry, on promotion to Air Commodore, has been appointed by the Governor-General as Deputy Judge Advocate General – Air Force. Her Honour is the first woman to be appointed as a DJAG for the Australian Defence Force, and succeeds his Honour Air Commodore Judge Gordon Lerve.

Justice Perry has served as an RAAF legal reserve officer since 2011. She was appointed as a member of the Defence Force Discipline Appeal Tribunal in 2018.
