Bar FC commence the Domain Soccer League season

In cold and slightly damp conditions yesterday, Bar FC kicked off the 2023 season against ARC Athletic. In a competitive match against last season’s runners up, Bar FC was unlucky to lose the game 2-1. With Morrison hitting the cross bar in the first five minutes and a shot from newcomer Anthony Khoury narrowly going wide of the upright following some slick play in midfield, Bar FC built on this to fight back after a somewhat lucky goal saw the score 1-0 at half time against us. An equaliser from Coutinho after the break saw the rest of the match being a tight tussle until the last five minutes when the winner was scored.

Great to welcome both Khoury and Anthony Jucha to the fold, both who performed well for their first game. There was also solid performances from Morrison and Jackson who have gained some speed and touch in the off season. Indeed, the entire team performed well for their first game back.
