Suzie Miller’s new play 'Jailbaby' opens at the Griffin Theatre Company here in Sydney premiering in July. Jailbaby, like other plays Suzie has written, (such as Prima Facie), engages with a topical and complex social issue. In this case juvenile justice, sentencing and prison reform – areas of the law and practice members of the bar may interact with in their day-to-day legal practice.

Suzie Miller and President Gabrielle Bashir SC will discuss how the creative arts have a role to play in our community generally and the practice of law specifically – providing a platform for conversations around issues in the legal system and the potential for law reform.

Both speakers have a wealth of practical experience in the criminal law, policy reform and how the most vulnerable interact with our legal system more generally.
