Vaisakhi, also known as Baisakhi, is an annual festival that falls on 14 April this year. On this day, the Sikh community celebrates both the arrival of spring and the founding of Sikhism as a collective faith in 1699. It holds deep cultural and historical significance as it marks the beginning of the harvest season, symbolising abundance and gratitude. Beyond its agricultural roots, Vaisakhi is a time for spiritual reflection and gratitude, with people visiting temples and gurudwaras to offer thanks for the blessings of the past year.

Happy Vaisakhi!
