Tomorrow, 18 April 2025, marks Good Friday, the Friday before Easter Sunday, on which Christians commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus.

Easter Sunday will be observed by Christians on 20 April this year to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, which is a central tenet to Christian faith. Christians observe the holy day with prayer, special church services and family festivities.

The exchange of individually wrapped chocolate eggs is a modern custom practised during the Easter period. These eggs symbolise the empty tomb from which Jesus was resurrected.
