Mentors needed for the First Nations Law Students Mentoring Program

16/12/2019

Wollongong or Sydney location

Have you been at the Bar between 3 and 7 years and are looking for a new challenge in 2020 that provides an important opportunity to assist First Nations law students on their way through law school and beyond. We are specifically looking for five women barristers practising in Wollongong or Sydney.

The Indigenous Barristers Trust is now seeking mentors for its First Nations Law Students Mentoring Program.

The program provides barristers with the opportunity to share their professional expertise and life experiences with First Nations law students – and relive the joys of their legal studies. It is hoped the experience will provide guidance to the students through law school and with their career aspirations and encourage them to one day consider the NSW Bar as a realistic and interesting career choice.

If you are interested in making a difference and becoming a mentor, please complete a registration form here and send it to Adam Moynihan at mentoring@nswbar.asn.au or call Chris Ronalds SC on 9229-7378 for more information. Those who express interest will receive further information about the program.
