The following members of the Bar Association received Australia Day Honours in the Order of Australia:

Companion (AC) in the General Division of the Order of Australia

Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Joan Beazley AC QC, for eminent service to the people of New South Wales, particularly through leadership roles in the judiciary, and as a mentor of young women lawyers.

Officer (AO) in the General Division of the Order of Australia

Dr John Michael Bennett AO, for distinguished service to the law through prolific authorship of biographies of eminent members of the legal profession.

Mr Robert Malcolm Goot AO SC for service to the Jewish Community through Executive roles with educational, cultural and social welfare bodies.
